Scouts and Veterans' Day

Henry's Boy Scout Troop went to the Acton Cemetery in Granbury to place flags on grave markers of all past veterans. He found his uncle Dallas Shannon's grave marker and thought of his grandpa Shannon who was in a German POW camp for 2 years in World War II.

Autograph Hound...

Henry lurves his autographs and won't stop until he gets them ALL!

We had season tickets to Casa Manana playhouse this year and saw the final season production of "All Year with Frog and Toad".
After the show, the actors come out to meet with the kids and sign autographs. Henry loves it- maybe he will be an actor one day... at least a performing arts afficionado!

Update: the picture below is AFTER the petals fall off the poppies. This is the pod where the seeds are growing so they may be sown again next November. They might appear un-natural b/c, well, I do have Corel and uh, like to enhance my pics...
I assure you, I took the picture and it is a poppy...if you enlarge it you can see the spiderwebs!
