ZERO!

I currently have an 88 in my math class and, as a result, need to partake in the extra credit problem the funny prof assigned. The extra credit problem is to show proof that the factorial of 0 is equal to 1. Wanna see?

CLUE #1:
why does 0!=1?

well,
the factorial definition of n is:

n!= 1*2*3*4*5*6...*n

does this help yet?

I knew what a factorial was. I just wanted to see your proof!

0!=1 because n!= 1*2*...*n, as you said. so it ends up being n!=0!=1*nothing else=1.

Makes perfect sense in my head, but I have a hard time explaining things.

yeah, i think it's ridiculous and took me all of two seconds:

0!=1
b/c
n!= 1(1-1)
n!= 1(0)
n!=0
